Everyone knows the troubadours, these poet-musicians, sometimes performers, who at the end of the 11th century in the Pays d'oc (southern France) invented the Song; north of the Loire, in Pays d’oil, they are called trouveres. With this album, Emmanuel Bonnardot and his accomplices show us that the power of the song of trouveres and troubadours retains all its vitality today, a bit like the blues remains the leaven of jazz. They are therefore fully invested in making us discover these songs and bringing them to life. Accompanied by instruments whose names carry magic (citole, rebec, psalterion, tympanon, crwth, veze...)
