Haruna, located in the center of present-day Gunma Prefecture. The depth of the winter snow is expressed through the shading of ink, making use of the skin of washi paper, while the bridge and temple are painted in vermilion, and the river flowing under the bridge is colored in vivid indigo, giving the scene a sense of tension and conveying the feeling of winter. It expresses the spectacular scenery and harsh side of Japan.
